Phase 2: Corrective Care
Teaming up for lasting results
Getting rid of symptoms is the easier part. If care stops the moment the pain stops, the chances of it coming back are much higher. Corrective care continues after you feel better, with the aim of improving the structure and function that caused the problem.
In this phase you will be adjusted less often than during relief care, and you will usually begin specific stretches and strengthening exercises at home. Occasional mild flare-ups are normal while tissues are still healing. Depending on how long you have had the problem, this phase can last from a few months to considerably longer.
