Knee & Joint Pain
Joint pain in the knees, hips, and ankles can come from the joint itself — arthritis, an old injury, overuse — or from how the rest of your body loads that joint. A hip that does not move well, or a pelvis that sits unevenly, changes the forces on the knee below it. Dr. Raby looks at the whole chain, not just the spot that hurts.
Common signs
- Aching, stiffness, or swelling in a knee, hip, or ankle
- Pain with stairs, squatting, or getting up from a chair
- Clicking, catching, or a feeling of instability
- Pain that flares after activity and settles with rest
How Dr. Raby evaluates it
A history, a movement exam of the joint and the joints above and below it, and X-rays when indicated. If the exam suggests a tear or a problem that needs orthopedic care, Dr. Raby will refer you.
Care options at Dynamic Chiropractic
A plan may include extremity and spinal adjustments, SoftWave therapy applied to the affected area, trigger point therapy for the surrounding muscles, and strengthening exercises to support the joint.
